Linssen Yachts have announced their 2010 Boat Show in Maasbracht will take place over the last weekend in November. Our Association Dinner will be on Saturday 27th November, as usual at the Roosterhoeve Hotel Restaurant.
For those who have never attended a Linssen Boat Show, this is a not-to-be-missed event, a wonderful opportunity to see new and older Linssen boats, talk to Linssen and to other owners, and enjoy the wonderful hospitality of the Linssen team. The Show is open to the public and our dinner to non-members.

The Linssen Yachts Summer Festival 2010
4th to 7th June 2010
Linssen Yachts BV have announced:
"The Linssen family is pleased to invite you to visit our showroom and marina to view the Linssen Grand Sturdy '9' series and the Grand Sturdy Mark II series in the 8 to 16 m range.
In contrast to the annual winter show, the yachts will be displayed where they are at their best: in the Linssen marina. Moreover, trials will be offered for which visitors can register during their visit."

The Association Annual London Dinner at the Cruising Association was another thoroughly enjoyable evening for the 56 attending (representing 28 boats and Berthon). It was a pleasure to welcome a number of new members attending their first function. We extend special thanks to Berthon for again so generously providing the wine during dinner. It was noted that there is now a Linssen Owners UK Association burgee displayed amongst the regalia over the bar at CA House, appropriate since many of our members are also CA Members, and this was our tenth Annual London Dinner there.

The dinner at the Roosterhoeve was another rousing success. The generous pre-dinner Reception hosted by Linssen Yachts and Berthon in the wine cellar of the Roosterhoeve Hotel Restaurant was for three Owners Associations – ourselves, the relatively new Dutch-Belgian Group and the very new German Group. Following the Reception each group had separate dinners, with ours enjoyed by 43 UK owners plus Linssen and Berthon representatives.
The Linssen Yachts Boat Show was again outstanding despite the current economic climate.
The word on the pontoon is that Linssen Yachts are managing far better than many other boat builders, with sales of new and pre-owned Linssen yachts holding up quite well. The new
innovative Grand Sturdy 25.9 Sedan was introduced to great acclaim, and went on to win
Motor Boat of the Year Award for the “Steel and Inland” category last week.

This year's dinner on 21st February attracted fifty-six participants. One intrepid duo put us all to shame (or at least made us envious) by arriving by boat, a Linssen Grand Sturdy 33.9 AC. Nothing like starting the sailing season seriously early! Fortunately they were blessed with lovely weather and the cruise down the Thames must have been delightful.
The Cruising Association staff once again put on an excellent meal and the wine was generously provided by Berthon New Yacht Sales Limited. The London dinner is a great chance for everyone to co-ordinate cruising plans and share experiences, and this year was no exception.

The 10th Annual Linssen Yachts Boat Show in Maasbracht from 29th November to 1st December 2008. was an outstanding success. The event also celebrated Linssen's 60th Anniversary and saw the introduction of several new boat models. Linssen reported a record twenty-three boats sold during the show.
Our Annual Dinner at the Roosterhoeve during the Linssen Show was probably the best yet. Over fifty members attended, plus about twenty invited members of the new Dutch/Belgian Linssen Owners Group, as well as representatives from Linssen and Berthon. and their sub-agents. A Reception in the Wine Cellar, sponsored by Linssen and Berthon, set the evening off in fine spirit. During the delicious three-course dinner we were entertained by the acclaimed ANIMO, the men's choral group of which Harry Linssen is a member. They earned a well-deserved standing ovation at the end of the evening. Yvonne Linssen then presented each boat with a gift of wine and a CD by ANIMO.

The Annual UK dinner was held on Saturday evening 1st March 2008 at CA House, Limehouse Basin, London. A great evening was enjoyed by sixty-two members plus five guests, including Yvonne Linssen and Paul Smits from Maasbracht and James Troup from Berthon. CA House served the best meal yet, and many newcomers were welcomed into the friendly group. James Troup from Berthon very generously provided the wine for the evening and Yvonne brought special Linssen T-shirts for everyone.
